NYC PERFORMERS
The multi-talented STOMP performers often play different roles throughout the week. Read below to get to know about each of them and a character they portray!

ALAN ASUNCION
Stomping since 2007, Alan is the youngest of five who was crazy brave enough to take the artistic career path. As a multi-instrumentalist, he taught piano and drums on Long Island for many years, played in various bands in the wedding circuit since the age of 14, and performed with the Off-Broadway aerial show, De La Guarda (NYC, Korea, Israel). Thank you to Fiona for believing in me! Thank you to the guys at Fresco for the espresso! Thank you, Words With Friends! Extreme thank you to dad, mom, and Tita Rita! Very special thanks and love to the incredible ladies of my life, Mayah, and Alana - everything I do is for you!


ONE OF ALAN'S CHARACTERS: MOZZIE
Ever-present and acrobatic. You can't get rid of him.

BRIANA “BRI” BUTLER
A Wake Forest University graduate, from MD, has been a trained dancer and performer since the age of three. Some of this triple threat's favorite career highlights include the SYTYCD Season 12 Semi-Finals, The Clothesline Muse National Tour, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines’ International Production tour of Mamma Mia, and having her choreography with BalaSole Dance Company featured as her first of two appearances in The New York Times. New York credits include Peggy Choy Dance Company, Mystic India World Tours, Cortland Repertory Theater, Banana Skirt Productions, and much more. Bri is so pumped to continue bringing the energy with STOMP!


ONE OF BRIANA'S CHARACTERS: BIN BITCH
Tough, no nonsense, and wields hammer handles like drum sticks.

JOSHUA CRUZ
Joshua was born in New York City where music and dance made him feel alive. He started his career with the Bowery Mission working with kids and the homeless community. He continues to guide inner-city kids through motivational speaking. He recognizes that he can do all things through Christ.

Wild, crazy and likely to do unexpected things -- but only once you get to know him.

MARIVALDO DOS SANTOS
From Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. As a composer, musician, percussionist and producer, Dos Santos has played and contributed to some of the most recognizable artists such as the legendary Sting, The Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Pras, Joshua Bell, Bill Frisell, Steve Coleman, Eliane Elias, Ivete Sangalo, Daniela Mercury, Margareth Menezes and the Rock in Rio Festival. Founder of Quabales, a social education project based in Salvador, that promotes inclusion through music and art bringing a vibrant mix of live and electronic new sounds and performances, please visit www.quabales.com. He is proud to be part of such an amazing production as STOMP.


ONE OF MARIVALDO'S CHARACTERS: SARGE
Precise and determined, the leader of the group.

JOHN GAVIN
Is an in demand drummer and percussionist based out of Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Florida, he has performed as a musician for the Walt Disney Company at their theme parks across the United States. Recently, he has performed and recorded with the ska-rock group Streetlight Manifesto and played percussion on the soundtrack of the upcoming film, CAM. John would like to thank his friends and family for the unending support and every teacher who has shared their knowledge. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Music from New York University.


ONE OF JOHN'S CHARACTERS: RINGO
Like his namesake, musical and laconic.

JASMINE JOYNER
Jasmine was born and raised in Queens, New York. She received her Bachelors in Dance from SUNY Fredonia. As a professional dancer, she has performed in may dance ensembles, a theatre production of Cabaret, and she participated in Debbie Allen’s Academy Summer Intensive 2016. STOMP gives great Rhythms and good vibes, and she feels that this where she belongs. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to join the STOMP family.

CARY LAMB JR
Cary is a performer from Long Island, New York who has studied percussive movement and rhythms all his life. As an artist, he explores the strange, bizarre but always energetic extremes of dance. He's Tap danced for the New York Mets, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Apollo Theatre while recognized by artists such as Missy Elliot, Chance the Rapper, and Snoh Allegra for the unique blend of tap and hip-hop. STOMP has only elevated his love for unconventional yet organic rhythms. Special thank you to the Rhythm of the Knight, TDO, Cadence Step Team and of course, Team Lamb.


ONE OF CARY'S CHARACTERS: PARTICLE MAN
A warrior with stamina and a sharp sense of detail.

SEAN PERHAM
Sean is a comedian, drummer, and actor who is based out of Brooklyn, New York. He attended the College for Music Education at Fredonia State University and received his Bachelors in Music Education, continuing on to get his Masters of Music Performance at New York University. After he graduated, he was a full-time music teacher at Brooklyn Charter School, and during that time he began his acting and comedy career on the side. He is honored to be a part of STOMP, a childhood dream. Work Hard. Be Kind. Laugh a lot.


ONE OF SEAN'S CHARACTERS: DOCTOR WHO
Wild, crazy and likely to do unexpected things -- but only once you get to know him.

TAMII SAKURAI
Forever a fan of STOMP, Tamii Sakurai is originally from Tokyo, Japan, where she was trained as a tap dancer by her grandfather. Since living in New York, she has been working closely with American Tap Dance Foundation, and is thankful to the tap community for raising her as a dancer/percussionist.


ONE OF TAMII'S CHARACTERS: CORNISH
Comedy is her middle name.

REGGIE TALLEY
Is a New York-based actor from Houston, Texas. While working with STOMP, Reggie has toured in over 35+ countries as well as perform in the 2012 London Olympic Closing ceremonies. Reggie is the owner of Due Season Productions, with his first film ‘Brave’ a film in which Reggie wrote, directed, produced and starred in won Best Narrative Feature at the Hip Hop Film Festival NYC. Reggie's TV and Film credits include Blue Bloods (CBS) and Equal Standard (2019). Reggie thanks God and his family for their constant influence in his life.


ONE OF REGGIE'S CHARACTERS: MOZZIE

CARLOS THOMAS
Was born in a small town called Sodus, NY. Drummer, percussionist, music producer, dancer. He first started playing music in church – and constantly finds himself banging on trash, more than his own instruments. Then came Stomp. “From 199***** I’m still here and love it!” Thanks to God, mom, Bill, Robyn and my close friends.


ONE OF CARLOS'S CHARACTERS: PARTICLE MAN

SIMEON WEEDALL
Trained at the London Studio Centre graduating with the Tap Award, furthering his training in New York. He has performed in the Jazz Company UK Tour, Chicago international tour, Chicago (West End), as lead tapper for The Liam O'Connor Show international tour and in Magic of the Dance international tour. He has also worked world-wide as a soloist for Coca Cola, Classical Spectacular, Big Dance, Brighton Dome Spectacular, "The Paul O' Grady Show", and others. He choreographed, produced and appeared in About Time (West End) then Percussive Feet UK Tour, has appeared in the I.T. Crowd, and has been teaching tap for 14 years.


ONE OF SIMEON'S CHARACTERS: POTATO HEAD
The rock steady rhythmic center of the show.
