NYC PERFORMERS
The multi-talented STOMP performers often play different roles throughout the week. Read below to get to know about each of them and a character they portray!

JORDAN BROOKS
Jordan is a NYC based composer, producer, and performer from Dallas, TX whose musical foundation is rooted in marching percussion. He toured the U.S. with the Santa Clara Vanguard and Blue Knights Drum Corps before earning his B.M. from Berklee College of Music and his M.M. from New York University.


ONE OF JORDAN'S CHARACTERS: POTATO HEAD
The rock steady rhythmic center of the show.

KAYLA COWART
From St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida, this dancer and choreographer is quickly emerging as a leader in Tampa Bay’s performing arts community. A qualified and passionate entertainer, her dream is to become the heart of Florida’s tap dance industry. From local dance studios to the main stage of the Orpheum Theatre, she is thrilled to be a part of STOMP’s award winning cast. Driven by sheer passion, this Tap Girl of Florida is extremely motivated by rhythm and believes that STOMP is the perfect home for her mischievous musicality to flourish.


ONE OF KAYLA'S CHARACTERS: BIN BITCH
Tough, no nonsense, and wields hammer handles like drum sticks.

MARIVALDO DOS SANTOS
From Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Dos Santos has taken his eclectic talent all over the world, traveling throughout Europe, the U.S, Latin America and Asia. As a composer, musician, percussionist and producer, Dos Santos has contributed to some of the most recognizable artists, shows, music, festivals and movie productions of the past decade, such as the legendary Stingx, The Fugges, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Pras, Joshua Bell, Steve Coleman, MD MC’S, Beetroot, Daniela Mercury, Vinicius Cantuaria, Margareth Menezes, Ogans and the Rock in Rio Madrid Festival. His own music projects like electronic recycle, Brazil Underground and Quables bring a vibrant mix of live and electronic new sounds and performances. Film and TV credits: the Emmy®-winning Brazilian soap opera India: A Love Story/Caminho das Indias, the movie Get Him to the Greek, the IMAX film Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey and Sesame Street. He is proud to be part of such an amazing production as STOMP.


ONE OF MARIVALDO'S CHARACTERS: SARGE
Precise and determined, the leader of the group.

JONATHON ELKINS
Born and raised in the Metro Detroit area, Jonathon feels blessed to be doing what he loves and especially to be doing it as part of the STOMP family! Since 2010 he has drummed, marched and instructed within DCI and WGI groups throughout Michigan and was fortunate enough to be a member of the Detroit Pistons Entertainment Team and Detroit Lions Drumline. He’d like to thank ALL of his family and fiancée, Kelsey, for their never-ending love and support. Many thanks to his friends back home, past instructors and the Lord for their guidance and inspiration throughout the years!

Wild, crazy and likely to do unexpected things -- but only once you get to know him.

DESMOND HOWARD
Desmond is a West African and Afro-Caribbean percussionist/dancer, and Urban Style dancer (Hip-Hop Freestyle, House, Popping). From Washington, DC, Desmond has been performing professionally since the age of twelve, with Coyaba Dance Theater, Urban Artistry, and others. He recently graduated from the New School with a B.A. in Contemporary Music.


ONE OF DESMOND'S CHARACTERS: PARTICLE MAN
A warrior with stamina and a sharp sense of detail.

ALEXIS JULIANO
Alexis is an award-winning dancer, teacher, and choreographer. She is best known as a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance. She has performed as a part of Tap Kids, the Hands Down Tap Project, Tap N Time, Jarod Grimes Underground Tap, Universal Studios' winter parade, Nigel Lythgoe’s Dizzy Feet Gala, Capezio A.C.E. Awards, So You Think You Can Dance Tour and the Fox Presentation of Grease LIVE! She would like to thank Mom, Dad, Kristin and Joey for their continued support. Also huge thank you to Luke, Steve, and Fiona for giving her this opportunity. 


ONE OF ALEXIS' CHARACTERS: CORNISH
Comedy is her middle name.

TAILOR LEE
Tailor is an artist, dancer, musician, activist and lover from Los Angeles, CA. She is proud and honored to be doing this radical work here in NYC. Big thanks to her family, mentors and friends who have supported her over the years.

IVAN SALAZAR
From Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. Buoyed by his passion for movement and music his whole life, he joined Chris Rubio's percussion movement group and has performed throughout Southern California, from street corners to stadiums. Special thanks to Carlos Sigala, Chris Rubio, and Massapê for the inspiration and fundamentals. Bruno, Mum, Ne, Debe, and Nani and friends - He loves you guys!.

CADE SLATTERY
Originally from San Diego, Cade joined a percussion motivational performance group called Jr. Crew in 2006 run by Chris Rubio, formerly of STOMP, who instilled rhythmic foundation, hard work, and dedication in Cade. He also works with special needs kids and adults and teaches drum classes to kids of any age. Cade first saw STOMP in 2007 and has wanted to be in the show ever since. ONE OF CADE'S CHARACTERS: RINGO
Like his namesake, musical and laconic.

CARLOS THOMAS
Carlos was born in a small town called Sodus, NY. Drummer, percussionist, music producer, dancer. He first started playing music in church – and constantly finds himself banging on trash, more than his own instruments. Then came Stomp. “From 199***** I’m still here and love it!” Thanks to God, mom, Bill, Robyn and my close friends.

SIMEON WEEDALL
Trained at the London Studio Centre graduating with the Tap Award, furthering his training in New York. He has performed in the Jazz Company UK Tour, Chicago international tour, Chicago (West End), as lead tapper for The Liam O’Connor Show international tour and in Magic of the Dance international tour. He has also worked world-wide as a soloist for Coca-Cola, Classical Spectacular, Big Dance, Brighton Dome Spectacular, “The Paul O’ Grady Show”, and others. He choreographed, produced and appeared in About Time (West End) then Percussive Feet UK Tour, has appeared in the I.T Crowd, and has been teaching tap for 14 years.
